研究員便り「花暦」④

前回の曼珠沙華（彼岸花）は開花がだいぶ遅かったですが、コスモスは今年も例年通り咲き出した感じです。小金井公園などの公園でも「コスモス畑」が見られたりしますが、今回は清瀬にあります「金山緑地公園」隣の「金山調整池」脇にある市民の方が作られているコスモス畑を見てきました。
個人の畑ではありますが、たくさんのコスモスが植栽されていて見応えのある景色です。ここ数年は毎年植栽されているようですが、今後継続するかどうかは不明ですから見られる時に見ておきたい景色のひとつかと思っています。個人の畑ということでＳＮＳでの情報はありますが公式の情報はなく、最初は知り合いから教えていただいたのですが場所を見つけるのに少々手間取りました。
面積はかなり広く、花の密度が濃いので、素晴らしいコスモス畑です。もう少し宣伝してもいいのではと思ってしまいますが、個人では色々と難しいこともあるのだろうと思います。混む前にと思い早朝に出かけたので撮影時にはそれほど人はいませんでしたが、ＳＮＳでは拡散されているようで、見終わって帰る頃にはだいぶ見ている方が増えた感じがいたしました。

Researcher's Blog “Flower Calendar” ④ Cosmos

The Manjusyage (red spider lily) on the last letter bloomed quite late, but the Cosmos seem to be blooming this year as usual. You can see Cosmos fields in parks like Koganei Park, but this time I went to see the Cosmos field next to the Kanayama Adjustment Pond in the Kiyose Kanayama Green Park, which was planted by local citizens.
Although it is a private field, there are many Cosmos flowers planted there, and it is a sight worth seeing. It seems that they have been planted every year for the past few years, but it is unclear whether they will continue to do so in the future or not, so I think it is one of the sights you should see while you can. As it is a private field, there is information on social networking sites, but there is no official information, and although I was told about it by someone I know, it took a little while to find the location.
The area is quite large, and the density of the flowers is high, so it's a wonderful Cosmos field. I think it would be good to advertise it a bit more, but I guess there are various difficulties for individuals. I went out early in the morning before it got crowded, so there weren't many people there when I took these photos, but it seems that it's been spread around on social networking sites, and by the time I finished looking and left, I felt that there were a lot more people looking at it.
